The villa is set within a 130-hectare working citrus estate that has been in the family for over 500 years. Here, blood oranges, lemons, and mandarins flourish in soil naturally enriched each year by the volcanic ash of Mount Etna.
In prehistoric times, the Siculi and Sican tribes carved caves into the limestone rock, also at San Giorgio and inhabited the area for thousands of years. The caves, still visible today, testify the archaeological importance of this vast landscape.
Villa Aranjaya is just one part of the panorama. Discovered and developed by the current owner's ancestors in the 1400s, it was recognized as a Natural and Cultural Heritage Site by the European Wildlife Estates in 2003.
